A good way to spend the evening indeed...

The new front tooth, with side teeth I've not had in years, took awhile to get used to, but I had. There was a source of moderate amusement to me, 'coz when I looked in the mirror, the downward line I have on the left has disappeared. Yet, my teeth are still way too old for me and either pieces of enamel drop off, or teeth wobble awhile, once the gum becomes tender.

All-in-all, I think I'm lucky to have the NHS dentist I have, who seems to perform minor miracles, every time I see him. I always make a point of saying 'Thank You', every time I see him.

I went to ENT in Broadgreen the other week, seeing Mister Webb the fellow I quite like to see, who seems to be able to give me an examination, while rambling away with me, in such a fashion that I'm hardly aware that I'm having my face probed.

I'd asked him “Will I continue to see you?” and been pleased to learn I would. Whereas Professor Probert at The Royal had been intimidating and demeaning, this fellow illustrates that not all the whitecoats are titheads. I had been a tad surprised that my next appointment had been made for the coming December though.

Thinking on it, The Royal has a nutritionist who I have an appointment with in February, who has been on maternity leave. What gets to me, The Royal didn't have a replacement for her. And so, there's an appointment with Hannah, in February.

Meanwhile, my young ginger-headed dentist has to see to me, yet again...

Thankfully, he is so gentle and explains what he's doing as he does it, which means I'm not as wary of it as I could be...

On the Friday I lost my internet connection, so rang bt.

The woman I had spoken to had really tied to help, so without sarcasm i said thank you and made an effort, to do the 'right thing'...

I had asked the young lady from bt in India what her name was and she had answered Aniniya, then I had asked how she said ‘good morning in her language’.

She had told me.

After three attempts I had said to the young lady, “So probat.”

She had seemed pleased with my pronunciation.

It was much later that I had had googled ‘indian’ and ‘goof morning’, only to find that my spelling had been way off. Then I couldn’t help but wonder if my pronunciation had been any good, at all.

Either way, I’m glad I had tried – ‘coz judging from her voice, Aninya had tried her best, to help me, at 12:45 a.m., or so…

I went top see Mr Webb, the consultant at ENT Broadgreen I've been seeing every six months or so.

"Aha," says he,walking into the waiting room, "it's my favourite patient." Needless to say, I'd looked round to see who he'd been talking of.

I do like seeing him, as he makes me smile, while he does as he needs, unlike that fellow Probert at the Royal, who left me feeling belittled somewhat.

After seeing him, he saw me out saying, "See you in..." It'd only been when I'd seen the card did I realise it was fro just two months hence.

Then I'd seen my copy of the letter directed from him to my doctor and now, it seems I have a new complaint, Rhino-sinusitis.

And, I'd been travelling home in the dark on Wednesday, stopping by the zebra crossing at the lights, just after Bromborough Station.

As I'd waited for the lights to turn from red to green, I'd looked to the fellow on my left dressed in his office suit and sporting a fairly fresh bullet wound to the left of his forehead.

Then shortly after my Father had eaten the tea I'd made for him, I head a rap-rap-rapping on the lower frosted glass panel of three in the front door.

I'd gone to the door and opened it and smiled.

“Well, I guess none of you could reach the knocker,” I'd said with a grin.

Before me had been about five little girls, all in Halloween fancy dress, in black, with pointed hats and wide smiles, with the mothers stood at the top of our drive watching on. As I handed across a box of assorted chocolates I had told them, "Take enough for yourself..." And they had, with the eldest and tallest as well as the one of the smallest and cutest came back for a second handful. Seeing this one or two of the others had followed suit...

When they had gone and I'd closed the front door Dad had asked me, “who was it?”

“Little-un's...” I'd answered, then reminded him it'd been Halloween. And, just as one might expect, a short while later it had begun to rain...

Unfortunately it had not rained all night, 'coz late on as I lay there adjusting my bodies joints, in order, so as to rest, fireworks went off.

Then on saturday I'd gone to rest my knees awhile, after seeing to Dad's tea [and washing his dishes.]

It'd been good I'd not been trying to do anymore than rest my arthritic joints and not sleep, 'coz outside it sounded like the goldarned as fireworks went off, for about an hour, or so...

Come Saturday I lay in bed awhile listening to Harry Dresden audio, as I'd awaited the bathroom.
Having heard several of the stories I've really gotten into the character, as read by James Marsters, who had played Spike in Buffy.

Having seen to Dad's tea, I'd gone to the shops for milk and, some the fireworks had looked pretty excellent, to me. Then come nine, there were none...

Then a couple of nights later I rose from my bed after my knee-rest, aware that it was incredibly windy outside and, decided that it was time to write, while listening to Harry Dresden. A good way to spend the evening indeed...
